The Kruger National Park is a wildlife lover's paradise. Home to the famed African "Big 5" - lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant - this park offers unparalleled opportunities for animal spotting.
On a private safari, you'll have the freedom to explore the park's diverse habitats at your own pace. From the dense foliage of the riverine forests to the wide-open plains, Kruger offers an array of landscapes to discover. You'll get to see the park in the early morning and late afternoon when much of the wildlife is most active.
Be on the lookout for rhinos drinking at waterholes, a pride of lions resting under trees, and herds of elephants making their way through the bushveld. At night, you can listen to the calls of hyenas and glimpse the eyes of nocturnal creatures out on the hunt. Your private safari vehicle and guide will help ensure you don't miss a moment of the wild action that Kruger is famous for.

The Best Camps for an Extended Kruger Safari
For an extended Kruger safari, you'll want to experience a variety of camps to get the full range of wildlife and scenery. Here are some of the best:
Satara Rest Camp: Centrally located with excellent game viewing. You'll likely spot the Big Five from the comfort of your bungalow! With its open plains, Satara is known for cheetah, lion, and leopard sightings also home to one of three wild white Lions in Kruger National Park.
Olifants Camp: Perched high on a cliff overlooking the Olifants River, this camp offers gorgeous views. It's a prime spot for elephant, hippo, and crocodile sightings in their natural habitat. You may even catch a glimpse of the rare Pel's fishing owl.
Shingwedzi Camp: In Kruger's northern region, this camp sits along the Shingwedzi River in mopane woodland. Home to large herds of buffalo, elephant and kudu, as well as rare wild dogs. Birders will delight in sighting the African finfoot and half-collared kingfisher.
Crocodile Bridge Camp: Kruger's southernmost camp, located within the Malelane Gate. Experience the park's highest density of crocodiles in the Crocodile River. You'll also likely spot hippos, lions, hyenas, and rare Nyala antelope.
Remote bushveld camps can be booked on request as they are not for everyone. But one or two nights can be an amazing experience in the African Bush without any hassle and bustle around you. BIyamiti, Talamati, Siluweni and a few more private bush camps can be recommended.
